After receiving a medical hardship waiver in 2013, rising sophomore running back Daniel Hamm shook off the injury bug last season and played in 10 of UVa's 12 games. But the 5-foot-10, 190-pound back figures to be a much bigger part of the gameplan this fall.

In this video interview, the Wytheville native talks about his impressions of spring practice, how he's grown as a running back, how new RBs coach Chris Beatty has impacted things, how running track helped him play faster, how different things are this spring with such an emphasis on staying square, and how he's adjusting to having a bigger workload for an offense that is looking to establish an identity on the ground.
