Now that we've had a couple of days to digest the Elite 8 loss, the time has come to ask the question. Both the Ralph years, and the last 4 years finished with 112 wins...Ralph's years with a slightly better win percentage because of less games played.
If you HAD to pick a better 4 year stretch, which would you go with? Both had something the other didn't...Final Four for Ralph vs. ACC tournament title for the current SR's. Ralph's teams spent plenty of time at #1 where this group narrowly missed that. Ralph's FR team also won the NIT, when it meant more than it does now.
Despite the tourney title, I'm giving a slight edge to the Ralph teams, but it's close. What are your thoughts?
