Amazing how many games in Baseball we have lost this year in the last inning or extra innings by walk off runs due to pitching short comings.

This year has been tough in the bullpen to find a reliable closer. This has to be one of the worse years I've seen in a long time under BOC.

The number of games that we have blown in the closing innings and in extra innings has been hard to watch. Especially 2 outs and our pitchers serving up one down the middle to be knocked out of the park for the walk off winning run.

At my count we have blown 5 games we should have won: Michigan (11 innings), Oklahoma (12 innings), NC State (9 innings), Pitt (90 innings, GT (10 innings)

All 5 games were walk off 1 run loses.

In Fairness it was not all pitching issues. We left so many runners on base to have one out and we get up and hit a cupcake right to Second base to make the tag and throw out First for close out double plays.

We don't have the same aggressive base runners either this year. There has been some nice hits that should have gotten runners further but you had guys pulling up and hesitating and guys unwilling to steal when the Catcher mishandles the ball. So many this season I haven't seen in other years.

Too many people dancing around; do I go, do I stay that cost us lots of runs this season.

So many games I've caught myself yelling "OMG", RUN! like they were little league players when guys jog and pull up to second from first and the outfielder is still trying to fumble around in the outfield with a mishandled ball, deep down the first base line.
