First I'm glad UVA has a member on the team, but the previous week was a disaster and he cost us the game against Pittsburg fumbling the punt return for an easy score for Pittsburg.
Glad to see he had a better night and was wise not to attempt this one line drive catch with Philly guys closing in. Smart to get out of the way.
I'm perplexed though how many guys on Washington that have dropped passes on critical downs or Brown that dove for a relatively easy catch and allowing the nose of the ball to hit the ground. Just unacceptable to have played in NFL and not a rookie to catch a ball going down and not get your arms up under it. The passes dropped AGAIN last night, were guys turning head to run before they had the ball.
The secondary simply collapsed in the 4th quarter to give up that many points and we simply have a poor group of secondary guys that can't cover or tackle. Most of these guys are not even second string on other top teams.
How many times are we going to see three secondary guys bunched up and one WR blocks the outside DB that blocks off his own guys and gives up easy sweep or a TE that walks in and stands to catch a wide open TD catch cause of the bunch up.
We have to get rid of the bad players and St. Juste was basically benched last night cause he is so horrible. Today there were was an article that I have been saying for a long time; two years, this guy is a massive bust and liability. Well they came out last night and said it out loud. St. Juste will hopefully be replaced by Lattimore they just picked up who is nursing a hamstring issue. It won't come fast enough.
Here is an article that says what some of us have been saying. Quinn has to draft several DBs and Safety spots fast in his next two seasons. Get another Top DB in free agency in the meantime.
Benjamin St-Juste came into Week 11 at the Philadelphia Eagles with a big point to prove. The cornerback was heavily criticized for blowing a coverage assignment on wide receiver Mike Williams during the Washington Commanders' last-gasp loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers last time around.
