New recruits

Now that we have a new staff, I was wondering a couple of things. First, do we have scholarships available, second, if we there are some, do you think this new staff will be opening it up to new recruits who may not have previously recruited, or even take a shot at some currently committed recruits for other schools that did consider UVA.

Video: Zaccheaus says UVa hears Mendenhall's message clearly

Even though he had just finished off a solid freshman season at UVa, Olamide Zaccheaus wasn't rattled when the Cavaliers made a coaching change recently.

In this video interview, he talks about what the time was like leading up to the hiring of Bronco Mendenhall, what his first impressions were of his new head coach, what stood out about his "clear" message to the team, and why what Mendenhall is bringing to Charlottesville is exactly what the team needs.

Kumbaya

People have been awfully touchy lately.

There are so many wonderful things happening to all the Hoos in C'Ville. If it weren't already Christmas, it would seem like it is.

And, hey, it's Christmas!

Let's be excellent to one another. We're all on the same side here. Try to work it out in PM. Or just ignore the person who is threatening to harsh your mellow.

C'mon, people, now. Smile on your brother. Everybody get together, try to love one another, right now.

Life's too short, guys.

Go Hoos!

Brogdon has a broken nose?

have you heard anything about this? Is this something I have missed? Seemed to indicate it happened before or during WVU game.

When I watched the post game interviews, MB's nose did look unusual in it's shape.

Update: TB on his coaches show tonight did say it look like MB broke his nose against WVU. Apparently MB sat out two practices, but is back practicing now.

Don't know if TB said this last part, or is others interpretation, but doesn't seem like MB's break is nearly as bad as LP's was last year, which was pretty bad (and I think may have been close to a concussion as well).

Video: Smith believes players are already buying in

Offensive lineman Eric Smith remembers from having played BYU last season that the Cougars were big, strong, and very disciplined. And that's something he's hopeful new coach Bronco Mendenhall will bring to UVa.

In this video interview, the junior tackle talks about the hire, about his first impressions from Mendenhall's team meeting last week, the message he conveyed to the team, how guys have reacted to the news, and why he feels like a lot of players have already bought in.

One of these days, somebody needs to write a book

With the hype and hysteria of the end of the London era and the hiring of CBM, I'm hoping that someday, somebody who had access to the whole process will write a book about it.

Now I would rather they wait until we have reestablished ourselves, but I really want to know what was going on behind the scenes. Specifically, who were the people who conducted the search, and how did they do it? Was the Richt courtship for real, or a smokescreen to keep other potential suitors off the trail? What were the calculations about money, control, prestige, etc that went into the decision on all sides, ours and CBM's? What exactly happened, and why?

I'd buy that book and read the heck out of it.

Redskins fans

First time watching Skins this year because they are playing Bears.

Any of you feel that their offense of game plan is so conservative that it's not giving the team a chance to blow out games when they start aggressive? Skins could easily be at 14-17 points right now if they just opened it up more
