Have to give Carolina all the credit in the world. They played at a tempo last night 99% of the time not only favors us but we're going to win, but those guys in blue jerseys stepped up and play big boy basketball even though we just didn't hit open shots because it wasn't our night.

That said there is a narrative with non-UVA fans and some in the media that because of our style of play, a bad shooting night like the one we had last night, or other reasons are why we could be a prime candidate for early upset. Granted we know who we've lost the last two years but it still hurts that we don't get enough credit for our success is due to losing to Michigan State the last two years. Fair or unfair that's the reality

People have to realize the tourney is about match ups and luck.

86- Caught DePaul at the wrong time

95- Elitie Eight, but didn't have to play Zona because Miami of Ohio upset them

89- Played a suspect 1 in Oklahoma, but caught a hot Michigan team in the 8

91- We run into a 10 seed with a guy from BYU who is 7'2"

2001- As a 5 we drew the one team I didn't want to play in Zaga who goes to the 16 vs. a Michigan State team we could have beaten

2012- We were overmatched vs Florida

2014- Michigan State is a strong 4 in a game we could have won

2015- Michigan State was a 7 seed playing its best ball in March

March is about luck and match ups. This team could win it all or lose in the 2nd round. Those on the board who think we're going to win it all are correct, and those who get a little nervous about us losing next weekend also have a reason for concern. Welcome to March.
