The dead period has lifted and players can finally resume visits. Despite there being no basketball game in Charlottesville today, the Hoos will still be hosting a number of talented prospects today across several class, including three-star 2021 dual-threat quarterback commit Jay Woolfolk.

Word is that everything begins at 2 p.m. when head coach Bronco Mendenhall addresses the players before they break up into position meetings ahead of an Madden NFL Tournament and later a kickball tournament ahead of dinner.

So, who all is UVa expecting to host today?


In the class of 2020 there will be two prospects on Grounds including Jackson Buckhalter, a 6-foot-5, 205-pound pro-style QB from Spanish Fort (AL), and Nusi Malani, a 6-foot-6, 255-pound three-star defensive end from San Mateo (CA) Serra who is in town for his official visit.


The bulk of the visitors will be from the class of 2021, where Virginia is expecting to his some 22 prospects including:

Miles Capers, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound outside linebacker from Sumter (SC).

Christian Buckhalter,the 6-foot-5, 225-pound three-star ATH from Spanish Fort (AL)

Donovan Everette, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound defensive end from Norview.

Amaad Foston, a 6-foot, 205-pound three-star running back from John Milledge Academy in Milledgeville (GA).

Maurice Freeman, the 6-foot, 197-pound ATH from Oscar Smith.

Eric Gentry, the 6-foot-6, 205-pound receiver from Neumann-Goretti in Philadelphia.

Zemarion Harrell, a 6-foot-1, 233-pound three-star linebacker from Salem in Virginia Beach.

Caleb Johnson, a 6-foot-7, 275-pound offensive lineman from Trinity Catholic in Ocala (FL).

Jaylen Jones, a 6-foot, 185-pound wide receiver from Thomas Jefferson in Richmond.

Garner Langlo, a 6-foot-7, 270-pound lineman also from Trinity Catholic.

Bryson Nesbit, a 6-foot-6, 220-pound three-star TE out of Charlotte (NC) South Mecklenburg.

Kahlil Saunders, a 6-foot-5, 260-pound defensive end from Huntsville (AL) Grissom.

Jake Slaughter, a 6-foot-5, 310-pound offensive lineman from Trinity Catholic.

Jalen Stroman, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound safety from Nokesville and younger bro of former VT defensive back Greg Stroman.

AJ Turner, a 6-foot, 181-pound running back from Phoebus.

HaShaun Wilson, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound RB from Florence (SC) South Florence.

Lavell Wright, a 6-foot-1, 195-pound three-star all-purpose back from Radcliff (KY).


In the class of 2022, there are five recruits expected including:

Trent Broadnax, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound three-star wide receiver from Benedictine School in Savannah (GA).

JaVawn Burden, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound wide receiver from Princess Anne in Virginia Beach.

Sherrod Covil, a 6-foot, 188-pound safety from Oscar Smith.

Daylen Everette, the 6-foot-2, 180-pound cornerback from Norview.

Kymari Gray, a 6-foot-1, 176-pound receiver from Phoebus.

Izaiah Guy, a 6-foot-1, 165-pound receiver from Ocala (FL) Trinity Catholic.

Desaun “Tank” Williams, the 6-foot-4, 295-pound lineman from Life Christian Academy in Chester


Lastly, in the class of 2023, there are two players on the visitor list including Derrick LeBlanc, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound defensive end from Osceola HS in Kissimmee (FL).
