Four-star center Cody Peck (2026) talked to @HoustonWilson about his recent trip to UVa and what stood out about the visit.

I just read on the University of Virginia site that the cross country team is participating in the Nuttycombe Invitational. In my senior year at Newport News High School, Charles Nuttycombe was hired to teach and coach. He had served in the military and then graduated from Randolph Macon College in 1956 where he lettered in football, basketball , and track. and was hired by NNHS that fall. He coached football and track at NNHS and Menchville High School. He led the football team to an undefeated season in 1962 and led track teams to 14 state championships.
On Saturdays he would bring his three toddler sons and babysit while coaching. One of those sons was Edward Nuttycombe, who went on to have a distinguished career as an athlete and coach. The Nuttycombe Invitational was started by Ed, who is now retired.
