April Franchise of the Month & Monthly Contest - Guess the franchise - Get 3 months free–or just humor me!!! Sponsored by: MyPerfectFranchise.Net

I love this concept because the model has been proven over and over and might have the highest success rate of any concept in the franchise industry.

I have around 90 employees in just one of my businesses, so no employees is a beautiful thing! The big negative is it's a big brick and mortar footprint which means high start-up costs and at least 12 months to get open due to lease negotiations and build-out.

Great news is the commercial real estate opportunities are increasing by the day right now and this business is one that Amazon/IT can never replace!

1. No Employees!!! Who doesn’t love that!!!???
2. Semi-absentee ownership model, but really more absentee than semi-absentee. This means 10-20 hours a week is necessary and keeping your day job is possible.
3. Brick and Mortar – big footprint of 4k-6k sq ft... which also means...
4. Higher start-up costs (500k-1MM)
5. Totally revamping their industry as professionals that work there make more money and become business owners rather than employees Day 1 – if they have a customer base.
6. Health, beauty, fitness type industry... not going to get specific there as it would give it away

Thanks for playing!

After solid showing in spring, Griese wants to help however he can

Virginia's bats come alive in 13-4 win over Towson

Virginia got off to a most unusual start in the first inning. O'Donnell and Teel had each singled, and Anderson was at the plate with two outs. He hit a routine fly ball to centerfield which should have ended the inning, but the umpire called a quick pitch balk which allowed O'Donnell to score and gave Anderson a second chance at bat. He came through with a RBI single which scored Teel. Saucke followed with another single which brought in Anderson and gave Virginia a 3-1 lead. Didawick singled leading off in the second; O 'Farrell singled and O'Donnell was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Teel's single was part of his 5 for 5 game and plated two more runs and extended the lead to 5-1. Towson scored one run in the 3rd, but the Hoos added two more runs when Stephan singled , went to second on a passed ball, and to third on a infield hit by Hanson, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Didawick. Hanson scored on another single by O'Farrrell. Virginia added a run in the 6th on a double by Teel and a RBI single by Anderson. Virginia put the game out of reach by adding five more runs in the 8th. Gelof led off the inning a single which made him the last of the starters to get a hit. Teel and Anderson followed with doubles, and
Saucke had a RBi single. After Baker and Hanson were walked, Tuft hit a RBI single.
Our pitching was up and down. McKay, Hodges, Hungate, Tonas, and Woolfolk took turns. Towson had just 6 hits and drew 8 walks, but of their four scores, three reached base on walks, and it felt like our pitchers were constantly behind in the count. That will be a problem against better teams.

Taking a break guys to be a primary care giver for atleast 3 months due to a bad accident involving the wife

Hey guys, I just wanted you guys to know that I won't be on as much for atleast the 3 months due to an unfortunate turn of events.

My lovely wife, who I call Lady Catherine, was struck by a drugged and drunk driver, who by the way had no insurance, no license and is in the country illegally, and this is his 4th offense of hitting other cars, but they keep letting him out. He was running from police behind him and ran through a stop sign street right out into a busy Blvd streets and T boned her car.

The day of the accident she was driving her Classic Car, 1971 Mercury Cougar XR7 429 Cobra, we kept in the garage and it had not one scratch, bird poop, nothing and she decided to take it out and it was totaled especially on the driver side was heavily damaged. We would take it to a special garage to be serviced, where the owner held car shows and he had vehicles from Model T to the 1950's vehicle and into the 70's and he was more upset than we were that the vehicle was totaled and how it was in mint condition, no scratches, dents, interior was in mint condition. But it may have saved her life cause if she was driving her other car a Scion XB she has it would have been fatal if she was hit in that one.

My wife had to have a kidney removed and now that surgery has healed, she had to have major back surgery with titanium plates put in from 3 to 4, 4 to 5, 5-1 area of the back and nerve damage cleaned up. She also had broken left arm, collar bone, broken ribs.

She just got out of the hospital after another brief stay and now it's 3 months of a heavy brace, and walker in which I will have to help her dress, shower and she is not allowed to do any bending, leaning, or twisting for atleast 3 months, no cooking, no lifting over 5 lbs. I will have to take care of cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, and helping her. She was a level 3 grade chef also so you know I'm really hurting the way she cooked everything from scratch every day just about.

This was a woman who doesn't look her age at all, still has thick wavy, curly, hair down her back she always styled up nicely; we had to cut and we donated about 8 inches (she cut it about 3 inches above her bra strap to be clear of the surgical area) for cancer patients. Before the accident, she would do on average of 5 to 8 miles on the elliptical Bike, 3 times a week, plus other exercises.

Life can change in a minute and I'm just glad she's still here.

One funny thing out of all this was when she was coming out of surgery, she was actually smiling, still under sedation/anesthesia she said with a soft voice, "Wayne, I didn't even know I had gone through surgery, she paused and said you are fantastic, you are wonder", holding my hand along the bedside, and I said, ah oh that anesthesia, is really working. The nurses around her were smiling and laughing, then my wife said, "No, really, you're the greatest and wonderful". I said, with a smile, Lady Catherine can I get that in writing being funny, and the Nurses really laughed on that one.:)

Thanks guys and gals for putting up with my antics and hope to stop by during this period when I get a chance. Take care!

Virginia comes from 4 runs down to defeat Liberty 7-4

The Cavaliers had 0 hits in the first 5 innings, and the team was down 4-0 when they came to bat in the 6th inning. Stephan led off with a double and scored on a single by O'Farrell. Virginia batted around in the 7th with the help of three walks to go with three hits. Stephan drew a bases loaded walk to get the first run, before Godbout's single plated two more runs. O'Farrell's single drove in two more runs to give Virginia a 6-4 lead. The Hoos added an insurance run in the 8th when Gelof led off with a double and scored on Stephan's second double in the game.
Early started and pitched well for 5 innings allowing just one unearned run and three hits. He tired in the 6th and gave up 3 runs on 4 hits. Blanco came in and shut Liberty down by striking out 5 of the 6 batters he faced. Jaxel got the final out in the 8th after giving up a triple, and Woolfolk retired all three batters in the 9th.
