Another special thank you to the players who won't be back next season for giving us your all, every game. We didn't have the success we would have liked, but you played your hearts out and refused to quit.
Thank you for representing our school and team with heart, class, and integrity.
I really look forward to what the next staff is going to do because these two next years in the right system with a little bit of imagination to it will be scary for the rest of the ACC to watch.
Are any of the younger guys at quarterback ready to overtake Johns? Or is bringing a new staff going to have a Jay Cutler effect where he plays better and more under control?
Please don't shoot me but announced on Virginia football twitter. London and Virginia have parted ways and Virginia signed Les Miles to a 4 year 12 million dollar deal!! is this true or bullshit.
We saw numerous unnecessary penalties. We saw Hokie receivers running wide open in obvious passing situations. We saw several arm (attempt) tackles. We saw questionable play calling. We saw dropped passes and potential interceptions. In spite of all of this, our players did not quit. We saw UVA lose another winnable game.
Greetings from Charlottesville, where we're about 90 minutes before the kickoff between Virginia Tech and UVa. Absolutely beautiful day here in Scott Stadium.
It's amazing how much this one hurts after such a lousy season and with such bright prospects for the program just weeks or even days ahead.
We stayed with them the whole game. And when the offense finally started clicking, the defense got soft after being solid most of the day. One more easily winnable game going in the loss column. And we have one more year with the dang Hokies coming out on top.
Thank God better times are coming. Last bitter shot before a new era begins.
I thought a dedicated coaching rumor thread would come in handy.
Please remember that rumors are just rumors and have a tendency to build on themselves as sites start naming each other as sources and the next thing you know there looks like a lot of smoke but it's just everyone quoting one source.
Actually excited for football game for the first time in a long time because I know it's going to be London's last game.
Our offense has more playmakers than Tech.
If CS is ready to go I think we actually have the talent on the outside to make them pay for playing one on one outside.
If we can't go to that I think OZ and Smoke can do enough.
This is our bowl game and with the coaching staff probably on its way out of the door, I actually think we're going to let things loose and just play with the swagger we haven't seen all year. Actually we saw some of it on offense last week.
Defense should do enough. Brewer likes the deep ball, but we can get pressure to hit him enough.
Plus streaks have to come to an end sometime. We probably will fight for London enough to finally get a win for the first time since 2003.
I am in Florida and the place I am staying does not have espnu. I tried watching some games here with watch ESPN but said it was blacked out. I will head to a local sports bar if it but I don't want to miss any of the game.
In my opinion, if we get this hire right, we will be well on our way to having a great duo, I think we all agree that we have half already in house. Right now, I say Mich St has the duo we should be striving to duplicate, with Izzo and Dantonio.
I wince regularly when reading the Richmond daily fish wrapper. The headline in today's paper was "U.Va. eventually pulls away from Lehigh". While this might be technically correct because we were not ahead from the opening jump, we were ahead by 7 at the half and won by 26, I cannot help to wonder if we would see a similar headline if the Hokies won by 7 points.
