OT - Early look at probable 2025 Indiana Fever lineup

The Fever has the three best players on the 2024 team returning and have added likely starters with a trade and a free agent signing. Caitlan Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, and Aliyah Boston will return. Sophie Cunningham was obtained in a trade, and Natasha Howard signed as a free agent. They will probably be backed up by Grace Berger, Kristy Wallace, Lexie Hull, Damirit Dantas, and Katie Samuelson. This roster will make the Fever watchable by more than diehard basketball fans.

Virginia men add another swim commitment to 2025 class

David Lindholm, a breast stroker from Finland, has signed to join an excellent class. He joins Thomas Heliman (#1 butterfly and free), Maximus Williamson (#2 free. fly, back), Nathan Szobota (#4 free and back),
Thomas Mercer (#9 IM), and Blake Amlicke (#13 free and back). The class also adds four additional swimmers, Josh Howat, Grant Murphy, Noah Powers, and Jackson Tishler, who are expected to add depth
to individual races and relays.

Another transfer visitor on Grounds this weekend...

UVa is set to host Notre Dame OL Rocco Spindler this weekend, after he left the Irish following the title game. Spindler has taken a few other visits, to Michigan and Pitt, and has a lot of interest. He was ND's starting right guard for most of the season, and started in the national championship game last week. Would be another huge get for the Hoos OL if they're able to close this one.

The worst kind of painful loss, losing to VT as a diehard UVA fan

I promise I won't beat up on Rohde, but can't get over how he thought he was the answer at the end. After blowing a two on one fast break pass from Murray, Rhode got chastised by Dan Bonner how he dribbled to far up under the basket and instead of dribbling out, Rhode tries to reach back with a bad one had flip to the other side of the rim for a bad shot and fail.

Again don't know why Rohde or staff or teammates thinks he should have handled the ball and taken that kind of shot on the last play. Oh well.

Here's the photo in the last 3.2 seconds:

Don't even see Blake Buchanan and what the heck is McKneely doing. He's looking like he doesn't even want to be involve in the last shot as if he knew Rohde was going all the way. Ames and Murray are the only ones looking to try and get open.

Rohde couldn't throw it down the middle as some were saying on Murray going toward the rim. Rohde would have thrown it away like he did in the throw in the previous loss; short and had it picked with the two guys (34, 10) in the middle. That's why Murray flared out away for him to throw it and be open. Unfortunately Rohde never looked that way. Murray could have been a naked busty female fan and he wouldn't have seen her looking at the play back.LOL

Commitment! UVa lands 2026 OL Dylan Biehl

UVa got an early-morning commit from Suwanee, GA OT Dylan Biehl, a top priority target for the Hoos in the 2026 class. Biehl was visited by the UVa staff a few days ago, and is set to be on Grounds this weekend. He held a bunch of offers, including FSU, VT, Miami, UCLA, Maryland, etc. He's UVa's second 2026 commit, joining QB Ely Hamrick.

The in spite of and because of the win in Miami

Virginia won 82 - 71 in spite 1) missing 2 of the top 3 team scorers (Rohde and Saunders) and 2) no wins this season on opponent's court. The Hoos won because 1) Miami is a bad team, 2) good shooting -
17 of 27 (62.9%) from inside the arc, 11 of 24 (45.8%) 3 pointers, and 15 of 20 (75% ) foul shots, McKneely (26), Murray (20), and Buchanan (16) led the scoring, 3) Virginia had 27 rebounds including 9 offensive rebounds.

This season is on Tony Bennett

As the year unfolds, it is becoming clearer that Tony bailed on UVA and on these kids, because he saw how unathletic, and unskilled these kids are. By so doing, he totally screwed Ron Sanchez. Rather than man up and do his duty to coach these kids that HE recruited, Tony bails. and if the response is that Tony DIDN'T recruit these kids then he owes UVA money for quitting on the job without informing UVA. Tony quitting will destroy his legacy. Time to blow up the program and start fresh.
