Who got on the bus to D.C. - R. A. Tobey or M. Tobey?

Let's hope Mike Tobey stayed at home and Reckless Abandonment Tobey went with the team to the Verizon Center. I think I was most disappointed in our inside defense against GaTech last time and how we let Jacobs and Mitchell have their way with us inside. But even if M. Tobey shows up in D.C., our interior defense is a far cry from what it was 2 months ago down in Atlanta and I expect a solid win today. I sure enjoyed watching R.A. Tobey, though!

Chokies v. FL State

Can anyone name a coach that does less with more talent than Fl State's coach? Losing to Va Tech by 7, (final was double digits) has no idea how to counter Tech's driving, has no idea how to use the talent he has and his size advantage outside of offensive rebounding. R-Mays has been essentially non existent, a great player and he can not even get him the ball. he is even worse at utilizing talent than Roy Boy. I know, everyone can talk about all Hamilton's wins in the past 6 years, winning the conference tourney, etc, etc. But he always seems to not totally use all the great athletes he has. TB would kill with the talent they have, if he could keep them eligible at UVA, which would certainly be a question. I hate Va Tech, want them to lose but with Hamilton coaching the players had better do it themselves.

Bilas last night ...

I know some here can't stand him, I personally like hearing his analysis.

Interestingly, he said he thought UVa was "firmly the #2 overall seed" because of our high end wins and that UNC wasn't as secure as a 1-seed as some others think. He also pointed out what some of us on here have been saying about Villanova, regarding disparate resumes.

UVA defeated Monmouth 20-7.

Connor Eason started but was pinched by the home plate umpire who had a very small strike zone the whole game. Rosenberger came in relief and pitched a couple of decent innings. Sousa had problems later on, and the lead was cut from 9-2 to 9-7. UVA came back in the bottom of the 6th and scored 3 runs and then added 8 runs in the 8th. Simmons and Smith hit home runs for the Hoos.; Simmons' was a blast that went over the bleachers in left center.
