I hate to admit it

I have watched the last two halves of UVa basketball in its entirety and I must say this is a much more pleasing to watch product. Maybe we just have to adjust our goals to holding our opponents to a 60 ppg average instead of 50. Really don't care as long as we are near the top of the NCAA.

Despite the loss, I think the Redskins are moving in the right direction

I'm in agreement with Arden's post on the momentum, reverse call on Culliver's pick then penalty call.

Also about the fumbles that killed the momentum.

Washington will just need to go back to pre Carolina game and clean up the fumbles and missed blocking assignments.

The young guys are showing promise, Cousins when he gets blocking can sling it, and we are just missing a few pieces, like a big possession receiver, one TOP Flight DB, Safety, Inside Linebacker, Along with another Interior Lineman to anchor the O line. Carolina D linemen were abusing the young O line of Washington, that up to today, was doing well.

Also, a little side note, I received a call from one of my brothers up in the Charlottesville area that was told after the game by a good friend that works up around UVA that interacts with a bunch of former players and what is being rumored is Craig Littlepage is planning to retire sometime next year and is wanting to keep London on this last year and have the new AD pick/select the new coach.

I'm just only repeating what was told to me a few minutes ago, and I repeatedly asked my brother, how reliable is his friend and his sources and he said it's pretty good as to what he is hearing and has been keeping both of my brothers up on what's been unfolding over the last couple of weeks and when he sees them at the games.

Don't shoot the messenger, because I am only repeating what has been passed on to me.

I wouldn't again, be surprised.

WAR ROOM-- 11.20.15

The WAR ROOM is back and this quick-hitting edition is full of football recruiting scoop. The Wahoos will be back in Charlottesville tomorrow afternoon, as UVa hosts Coastal Division rival Duke. And with only two games left in the 2015 season, this is one of the final opportunities to bring prospects on Grounds. We'll take you through the visitor list, which includes a pair of prospects that will be on their officials this weekend. We'll also touch on the names that stand out in the class of 2016 as well as the host of juniors and sophomores that Virginia is expecting to have in town tomorrow when the Cavaliers face the Blue Devils.

As always, what's said in the War Room, stays in the War Room. Let's go!

Two official visitors among those expected

UVa is expecting to host two recruits on their official visits: kicker Holland Corbett and linebacker/defensive end Matt Terrell. At this point, both the three-star kicker and the versatile Liberty defender appear solid in their commitments.

In addition, Virginia is also expecting to host several other commits this weekend including Sonny Abramson, Darrius Bratton, and Chris Moore. The Hoos are also expecting a couple of other 2016 prospects to visit tomorrow, including Albermarle's Osiris Crutchfield. He picked up his offer from Virginia last month and word is the Cavaliers will be very tough to beat for the 6-foot-4, 225-pound defensive end.

The vast majority of the visitors that UVa is expecting this weekend are in the class of 2017, as almost two dozen of them will be juniors. That list includes notable guys like three-star Hampton defensive end Elijah Confliffe, who already has offers from Cincinnati, East Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, NC State, UVa, and Wake Forest, as well as Annapolis (MD) quarterback Dion Golatt and fellow signal caller Tristan Hellerich of Sarasota (FL) Cardinal Mooney.

The 2017 group includes Hickory wide receiver Tommy Martin, New Jersey offensive tackle Xach Miseo, and Jacksonville defensive tackle Alex Wilcox.

In the class of 2018, Virginia is expecting to host Woodberry Forest tight end Kyle Bilodeau as well as Hopewell QB Greg Cuffey, and Central Bucks South (PA) prospect Jack Johns, the younger brother of QB Matt Johns.

Finally, in the class of 2019, word is UVa will host a handful of recruits including Lord Botetourt offensive lineman Jesse Hanson, Riverbend offensive lineman Teagan McDonald, and St. Christopher's School's Elby Omohundro.

That is it for this week, and as always, what's said here, stays here!

Nicolas needs to sit for a while

I bet the ACC or Tech because of the Beamer love fest won't do a damn thing about what happen yesterday which was not only childish but absolutely ridiculous that a football player on that level could act like such a you know what.

If he were a player on my team not only would he be missing next weeks game, but there will be serious rules put in place if you ever wanted to put on that jersey again.

WOW! The level of officiating integrity is continuing to look bad

I am watching the Redskins/Panthers game and have watched, no less than 3 offensive receiver picks in plain sight in front of the zebras looking on with ZERO flag.

The biggest one was the TD catch where the Panther TE runs over to cut off two DBs in the end zone trying to run toward the WR out of the end zone that is heading right at them. The TE looked like a Security guard running out in front extending his arms to keep the DBs from running toward the WR.

Now this BS call on personal foul on Culliver's hit with his arms on a Greg Olsen that decides to duck down and lower his head as Culliver is coming up and you can clearly see Culliver actually pulls in his arms to avoid a nasty hit as Olsen was clearly dropping his head to attempt to bull doze over Culliver who hits him with his arms not extended in the chest, jars the ball aloose and picks it for a run back to have some home cooking spineless ref throw that BS flag on a good defensive play! These refs are either blind or spineless PC on defensive hit that wasn't even reviewed. Just wait until the guy is running it back to throw a late flag.....PURE GARBAGE!

Not whining, just pissed at the I can't see picks in front of me officiating team, but let me take away a good defensive effort and not even review it. If that was a Dallas game and Dallas had hit Olsen, they would have taken 10 minutes to give them the benefit of the doubt! It's the Redskins and liberal refs hate the mascot name and have openly said really not to smart things like they will do what they have to to get the name gone! Guess this is their way of harming the franchise.

Speaking of whining, I flipped to the Dallas Game to see it going to a commercial break and Romo was in a closeup shot of his face as he was looking in the camera whining like 6 year old pouting that someone stole his sucker!LOL!!!!

A couple things I have to get off my chest

Ok today was a great to be a Hoo fan

First as stressful as it was we won!!! Great job by the kids and to win that game!

2: Tech lost! **** the Chokies!!!!!!

3. How was Daddi Nicholas not kicked out of the game? Will he be suspended for next week?

4. Probably the best of all Paul Jesperson and Northern Iowa beat #1 UNC in basketball

Tonight's game

Is this another game that we can use to test out a few things? I feel Tony is still tinkering with the lineups and absolutely will sit guys who are not staying disciplined on the defensive end tonight. Really not sure how good or bad our opponent is nor do I care as I just want to see us improve upon things from the other night.

Offensive comparison/ rules change impact

UVa has scored over 80 three times in the first 4 games. We only scored over 80 twice all season last year. Not only that, we are averaging 80.8 ppg. Against somewhat similar competition last year, GW, Norfolk State, James Madison, and South Carolina State, UVa scored 79, 67, 75, and 59. That is an even average of 10 ppg. I don't know what the overall country is averaging over last year but I highly suspect that an almost 11 point jump per team is not what is happening. I get the feeling more is going on here than just the rules changes producing more points for UVa. Is it our early defensive struggles? Is it better and deeper offensive options? Is it an opening up of the offense?

Thoughts?
