OT - I read an interesting article on Yahoo Finance titled

20 NFL Players That Went Completely Broke. The only reason I noticed was that Tiki was pictured, and he was mentioned as 1 of the 20. The list included players who had made bad business decisions after retirement from football, made bad financial decisions, encountered criminal problems,, had relationship problems that turned out to be unbelievably expensive, or a combination of the above. The worst part was that the 20 named were undoubtedly a small percentage of those that could have been named.

CavsCorner Video: London Perrantes

Junior point guard London Perrantes has been UVa's rock over the past two seasons. But changes to the shot clock might require the Cavaliers to lean on more than just the California native.

In this video interview, Perrantes talks about dealing with a 30-second clock, having more ball handlers on the floor to deal with potential pressure, his head coach's desire for Perrantes to look for his shot more, whether the Wahoos have unfinished business this season, how the program has developed a culture of winning, and how Anthony Gill's personality helps to keep the group light.

London and his odd recruiting-

Someone else posted this link on another thread, but I got a chance to read it this morning and this is pretty solid stuff.

There's something in here for everyone, from burned red shirts for no reasons, to not recruiting enough OL and DL.

What this does raise the question of is it time to move to a spread offense? Since we have the running backs that can get in space plus power backs and about enough WR's for three teams, we really should just open up the playbook and all our guys to make plays in space. Heck maybe Mike London should just throw everything out the window and do that anyhow but that would just be too easy because remember we are a power football team:)

A quick look at first year UVA outfielders

UVA added two outfielders to the team this year. Doak Dozier played for Arlington Heights High in Texas and was rated the #11 prospect in Texas. He is tall (6'3") and a little thin. As he matures and adds weight, his power should continue to improve. His throw from the outfield has been timed at 92MPH which indicates that he will probably see time in right field. Jake McCarthy is the brother of Joe. He is a lefty and could see time in left or center field. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates but opted to keep his commitment to UVA. He also played football and is the all-time leading rusher at Scranton High with a total of 5,915 yards. I should add that Cameron Simmons can also play outfield as well as pitch. He hit .452 with 22 RBI his senior year. As a pitcher he was 5-0 with a 0.74 ERA as a junior and 3-1 with a 0.96 ERA as a senior. He might be the Haseley of the entering class.
