Our coaching staff sucks

Undisciplined football week after week.

No sense of urgency on offense.

Still playing DB's 10 YARDS OFF THE BALL against a coach who is going to expose the living daylights out of you with short passes.

Still running the wildcat four or five times a game when the crap doesn't work.

The ACC outside of two teams is so freaking bad this year had we fired London last year and had better staff it would have us with four or five wins at the least.

The people on the site who keep justifying that he's a nice guy really needs to grow some because this football team deserves better and this coaching staff is a joke plain and simple. Other teams seem to make adjustments and we stick to our F minus game plan.

When will there be another Littlepage interview?

He did one during the season two years ago with Teel. Why aren't these reporters beating his door down to get another? They have know it would be the most widely read UVA related article all year. Maybe they have tired :) Here was an excerpt (I know many of you have seen this) Again, it is almost two years old ...

Littlepage: I say one of the best parts of my job is I get a lot of free advice. I’d say there is a wide variance. There are those that understand what we’re going through. ‘We understand what these coaches are trying to do, these young people are good representatives and citizens.’ There’s a large group that’s kind of in the middle, that’s wait-and-see. ‘We’re hopeful. We trust that everybody knows what has to be done to get the ship on track.’ And then there’s a group that’s very vocal that is fed up, frustrated, etc., and I understand all three categories, and I hear from all three. That’s not all that unusual. …

Good things that come through in situations like this and the fact that people are expressing, even if they’re expressing displeasure, they care. And that’s a lot better than people that are just silent and walk away.

You know what I think unfortunately, is that he has lost MANY "caring" fans.

Link to the entire thing: http://www.dailypress.com/sports/teel-blog/dp-teel-time-transcript-littlepage-post.html

Another excerpt which makes me feel like Littlepage has too much ego involved here, too stubborn about being "right".....

Littlepage: I have been, as you said, consistent in my support of Mike. That continues. He is going to be our coach and he is going to be successful.

OT: Did Louisville's Pitino know?

ESPN reported that former Louisville players and recruits told ESPN’s John Barr and Jeff Goodman that former Cardinals assistant coach Andre McGee paid strippers to attend parties at a campus dorm from 2010 to 2014. Some of the strippers were paid extra by McGee to have sex with the players, according to the report. I for one hope that Pitio did not know.

This surfaced because of a book, "Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen, published by self-described former escort Katina Powell, 42, details nearly two dozen stripping and sex parties from 2010 to 2014 inside the athletic dorm.

Fans/Jack Salt

I am making a prediction during the time Jack Salt is at UVA the following will happen:
1.) A fan or fans will wear a human salt shaker. (Like the Banana guy)
2.) Fans will bring salt shakers and throw a handful of salt into the air after each big play Jack makes.
3.) Will see signs that read It's salt time, let's get salty, and Salt power
4.) We will have a bring a bag of salt night (for a game during the winter) ice salt

P.S. Sorry for the lack of punctuation.

I'm done playing Charlie Brown

I'm tired of believing that UVA will win for two or three quarters only to have Lucy (Coach London and staff) suddenly pull the football out from under us at the last second. I'm still going to bear witness to this unmitigated train wreck because I bleed orange and blue, but I'm done believing. If we win, great. But I'm not expecting it until a new coaching staff. I will not be fooled again. I genuinely feel sorry for the kids, particularly the ones who have a potential NFL future in front of them if they were coached better on Saturdays. It is what it is, but I'm out...hoping for the best only to end up with a concussion when I fall on my head because Lucy pulled it away for the hundreth time.

I'm just going to drink myself to death until Basketball season starts. Long live Tony Bennett and his assistants.

End rant.

Football talent in the state of Virginia for HS

Brad and the guys on the recruiting side might be able to answer this more than me, but I was talking to Michigan St coach the other day looking at one of our kids who is a junior and he said that the talent in the state of Virginia isn't what it was 10 or 15 years ago. I haven't lived in Virginia in over a decade so maybe some other guys on the board can answer that question. Tech and Uva both at the same time shouldn't be this bad. Is it talent or coaching for those schools?

I Am Really Shocked!!!!

You know, as this weekend approached, I had ZERO interest in watching this game, I only hoped for the kids sake they won, for the programs sake, they lost. Some how, some way, I and scores of other people seem to still care about UVa football!!!! God Bless you all for your dedication to something that simply doesn't matter any more. I am not talking about nationally, even regionally. I am talking about to the University of Virginia. We all seem to care so much more than John Oliver, Craig Littlepage even Mike London!! If any of them cared, they would be sure a change was made. For CML, I get it, he has, what 2+ million reasons to continue with this path. Oliver and CL, just seems to me they don't care.

Comparative scores

I was disappointed when Boise State took our UVA team behind the woodshed, but then I consoled myself by chanting the mantra that Boise was a national power that was a potential top ten team. That thought was eradicated when Utah State defeated Boise almost as bad as Boise clobbered UVA. It occurred to me that perhaps Utah State was a much better team than anyone realized. Last night I watched San Diego State decimate Utah State. Now I realize that comparative scores do not necessarily mean a lot, but none of the scores in these three games were close. Does this mean that SDS is 100+ points better than UVA? No, but we are talking about San Diego State and not a national power.
