Bliss, Lang and Robinson

these were the three players that didn't play last night. Sanchez said that Bliss is still dealing with a foot issue (of course nobody asked him about an expected timeline for his return) and Lang will redshirt, but did not say anything about Robinson so have to assume his not playing was a DNPCD. That is worrisome for Bliss to still be dealing with a foot issue and missing valuable time early in the season. It seems like an injury he's had linger for some time and likely will continue to.

Interesting decision for Lang after Sanchez said after taking over that there were no discussions on red shirting anyone other than Gertrude. Of course it could have been something Lang came to him with. I wonder if he was given Warley's open scholarship since he was a preferred walk on. He was going to provide some solid depth in case of injury or extreme foul trouble, but likely wouldn't have played much.

Robinson to me is the interesting one. He's already redshirted and waited a year to play and didn't play in the first game even with the foul trouble Saunders was in so you have to assume he is only going to play in garbage time mostly. I would not be surprised to see him transfer before the 30 day window closes if he has been told he's not going to play, but that would mean sitting out another year so who knows. When Saunders and Buchanon can stay out of foul trouble plus with the trust they already have in Cofie and of course Power who can play the 4 there will likely be very little opportunity for Robinson to play this year barring an injury to someone.

Virginia women defeated American 104-68

Virginia suited 10 players, and they all got substantial playing time. The Hoos outscored American in all four periods. The team was led by Johnson with 22 points and 9 assists in just 21 minutes. Lauterbach looked much improved since last year and led the team with 13 rebounds. In spite of the impressive win, I suspect the coaches will point out that they committed 23 personal fouls

ACC Network Announcers after the game

Elliott should get the recording and play it before every team function. Eddie Royal the officials should be ashamed of themselves. EJ Manuel It's UVA. Handle your business it's UVA. I have been to two games this year Wake and Clemson this team is so close. I talked with Grant Ellingher's parents before the Wake game. Their message was Elliott is the man for the job. Our son had offers all over the country we knew when got there it was the place.

Clemson game Kam Robinson's family Virginia is close. Elliott is the man for the job.

Look at the young pieces growing up. Terrell Jones (25), Britton (55). Get back Mekhi Buchanan and Jason Hammond that's the foundation of a good d-line. We are missing a few corners, tonight's coverage was so soft. A bowl game moves the program so far forward. Extra practices, recruiting, player confidence, credibility.

Elliott will succeed as a coach, and we are not careful UVA will be a steppingstone for him.

Washington Commanders held on but I lost respect for Coach on several areas today.

First of all on 4th and 2 Washington clearly stops NY short and the WR even tried to reach back to the first down line with the opposite hand with no ball in it. Coaching staff was completely asleep at the wheel and let NY run up and run a play that kept the drive going and scored a TD. That was a complete fail by coach and his staff not to see it didn't make the first down line, it wasn't even close and the announcers even said they blew that.

Secondly, why, when football is a game of psychological tactics are you going to get a first down on less than one from scoring with 1:38 seconds and roll over and take a knee?????

NO ALPHA MALE real coach especially the old School coaches going to take a knee at less than one yard with all downs and 1:38 left. NONE. You think Baltimore, and other teams would have spared Washington the shame by rolling over taking knees? NO. They would have sent a message to fear them when we meet again. You don't scare nobody when you pull a choir boy move on the football field; exact opposite. Just shows where we are as males in leadership and coaching positions are in this country. Don't want to hurt no one's feelings these days.

Lastly, The coaching staff has to bench St. Juste and get rid of this guy. MASSIVE BUST. Can't cover anyone at 6'3" as is the main go to target on 3rd down by other teams QB to get a first down. Riverboat Ron just shows how good he was at picking 3 or 4 in his last couple years as coach in the 1st and 2nd round draft picks that were complete bust.

UVa announces 2 game football series vs WVU

UVa has announced that the Hoos will play WVU in on 9/19/2026 and 9/24/2032 in Charlotte, NC.

UVa already had a full schedule for 2026 after adding a non-conference game against NC State. To make room for this game, the ACC is allowing UVa to get out of the 2026 trip to ND (SMU will now make that trip).

NIL money in the ACC schools

A report of the top 50 NIL universities as issued by 247 Sports. I found it questionable because the amount listed for the ACC schools was not close to what I would have thought. The following was what the report indicated. Florida State was the first of the ACC at #10 with 540 million. FSU was followed by UVA #13 at 516, Clemson #17 at 475, Louisville #20 at 450, UNC #30 at 344, VPI #34 at 319, Georgia Tech #44 at 220, and NCSU ##45 at 216. The report may be accurate because I am not sure of the criteria that is included in the report. If so, I have to wonder how the money is being used by Virginia. Any additional information would be helpful.
